A few practical notes for anyone renting a Ferrari in Dubai for the first time.

Licence requirements: UAE residents need Emirates ID and UAE licence. Tourists need home-country licence plus a valid International Driving Permit. The IDP is not negotiable on any car over 400bhp.

Minimum age is 25 for the Portofino, 488 Spyder, and Roma Spyder; 27 for the F8, 296 GTS, SF90, and Purosangue. Insurance-driven, not a house rule.

Salik is Dubai's toll system. AED 6 per gate, passed through at cost at end of rental with no markup.

Speed cameras are everywhere and fines are real. The 120 km/h limit on Sheikh Zayed Road has a +20 buffer — treat 140 as the actual ceiling.
